It's back. Our Shooter of the Month monthly match. After a full year of absense, we're back on a monthly basis. Not that we ever stopped, mind you Anyway, enjoy the following excellent report by Mark "le Chef" Jie. Shoot safe.

Ladies and gentlemen,

It has been brung

SOTM January 2009 is a fact now

We had a lot of rain today but eventually the whether gods bestowed mercy upon us

The first SOTM have been crowned, in production Serge came back hard after a previous asswhooping from the butcher last week. The butcher thought he was smart by putting some booby traps for us but alas he stepped into his own trap and got 2 procedurals on his own stage.

In standard i had the wind in my sail and had some smooth sailing, but alas not all of SVS's top shooters were here today so competition was scarce but nevertheless it was a great game.

There were 3 long courses, stage 1 had 19 rounds and you had to carry a 20 liter paint bucket with a 3/4 of a 4inch building brick in it than you had to stand on 4 inch building bricks and shoot over barrels on targets flat on the ground covered with no shoots, it was a very tricky stage and a lot of shooters, including myself were confused at one moment.
Stage 2 was a 32 round stage where you had to start seated in a chair gun unloaded and first mag on table and you had to hold a book in front of you. There were multiple options to shoot this stage but everyone choose the most logical, moving from left to right, there was a window which had to be opened by holding on to a cord and after that you had to advance to a door where you had to run up to a line of barrels which were covering 4 paper targets with 2 no shoots covering them and also a popper which activated a swinger which could be shot from the far right position of the stage, that was about a 12m run.
Stage 3 was a modified CLC 19 where you had 3 targets placed at 1.5m height of which 1 was at 26m, the second was at 13m and the third at 8m. The start was hands at side on signal draw and engage the 26m target freestyle with a minimum of 6 shot perform a mandatory reload and engage target 2 at 13m strong hand only with a minimum of 6 shot perform a mandatory reload and engage the last target at 8m weak hand only with a minimum of 6 shot. The stage was comstock and man were there shots fired!!
